Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Meals on Wheel Collin County!
We are always in need of volunteers!  MOWCC has been working hard and follows CDC guidelines like social distancing and protective gear to help keep our clients and our volunteers safe while keeping our seniors fed.  Due to COVID-19, we currently have been unable to conduct our orientations for new volunteers but we are working hard on an online/virtual training so that we can bring on more passionate helping hands.   We invite you to fill out the secure online application and we will be in touch shortly.  Thank you for caring for our senior and disabled community!

WHAT VOLUNTEERS DO

All volunteer drivers must attend a training class and pass a background check prior to being assigned a route. Due to COVID-19, we currently have been unable to conduct our orientations for new volunteers. Please read notice above for more information.

  • Print the background check and volunteer application forms.

  • Reserve a spot for training. Walk-ins are welcome as well.

  • Bring a copy of your driver’s license, current auto insurance card, completed background check and volunteer application forms with you.

  • Please note there’s a $10.00 fee to cover the background check–good for 2 years.

  • KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS! Kitchen Safety Note: Appropriate clothing for volunteering in the kitchen includes: a) Long pants:  No shorts for safety reasons in case of spills. b) Closed toed shoes: No sandals.  Rubber soles that are slip resistant are recommended.

For corporations and/or organizations interested in participating in a corporate takeover, we provide mobile training, where our skilled trainers will come to your company to present our orientation to your staff. For more information, please contact our office at 972-632-3125 or email her at [email protected]
