Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and making sure that volunteers are able to find us, sign up for opportunities, and participate is a major task to undertake. That is why Meals on Wheels Collin County is excited to be working with VOMO, a technology-based company designed to help bring volunteers together with the need in their communities.
As part of their initiative, on Friday, December 8, representatives from VOMO stopped by MOWCC to assist with sorting shelf stable items for upcoming deliveries to our seniors.
“It was a lot of fun. It was a good bonding experience for our team, and I’m looking forward to coming back,” Joel Peabody stated when asked about his volunteering experience with MOWCC.
Just a couple of hours goes a long way when it comes to volunteering. Thank you VOMO for your service in our community and your dedication to our seniors.
Make sure to head over to their website to sign up and connect to MOWCC through VOMO. It’s simple and convenient.
