Senior Support During Holiday Season

This holiday season we have had great support from numerous organizations to ensure no senior goes hungry, and provide our clients with a little holiday cheer.
The McKinney and Frisco Firefighters took time off from helping everyone in the community to focus on our Meals on Wheels Seniors. They and their Auxiliaries purchased Secret Santa gifts and gift cards for a large number of clients. Thank you all for watching out for us and for caring so much for our seniors!

And many thanks to Collin County Clerk Stacey Kemp and her staff for their help with our Secret Santa program! We’ve heard from so many generous folks – thank you so much for your help!

Thank you to our many volunteers who have come out to Meals on Wheels Collin County and put together more than 3,500 shelf stable meals. In an effort to keep the promise, so no senior goes hungry, these meals are delivered to clients in advance of holidays and possible inclement weather days when hot meals may not be delivered. We have had many organizations contribute to this effort this fall season, including Bank of America, Junior League of Collin County, Altrusa, and Zurich. Thank you again for your time and commitment to make a positive impact in the life of a senior!

And, during the holidays, we certainly cannot forget our furry family members! Thank you to Girl Scout Troop 2993, Service Unit 105 of Allen for collecting and donating pet food and supplies, as well as two walkers and a cane to MOWCC for our clients! Great job earning your Bronze Award!
